Eligibility Mandatory Requirements

1. Applicants must reside in one of the school boards in the Tsunami affected regions in Sri Lanka.

Scholarship grants are available for the following Districts only:

Galle Matara Hambanthota Amparai Batticaloa Trincomalee

2. Applicants must be in Grade 8 on the 1st January of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

3. The average score of the academic subjects should be over 65% at the final term tests of the previous year.

4. Selection Criteria will be based on the following:

• Impact of Tsunami (2004)
• Average Marks of the previous year ( average of the last three terms)
• Family Income
• Extra curricular activities will be given (10 Points out of 100)

Scholarships are awarded strictly under the above selection criteria. Decision of the Toronto Mahavihara Scholarship Foundation Administration Committee is final.
